In a small one room studio in Ft. Lauderdale Florida back in 1955 John Degroot hand produced his first ceramic tile mosaic. Fifty years later we are still producing that same hand made mosaic. Over time some things have changed. We out grew that one room studio and passed on our style of mosaic tile making to a few more people who have come along to help us. But one thing has not changed the quality and craftsman ship of a Degroot Studios mosaic tile While others use spray guns and air compressors to produce there "hand made tiles" we still use brushes and patience to create a beautifully detailed mosaic unmatched by others.
